I’m so ready for this closet project to be over! We officially started on it in January 2014 but we only built one storage unit before moving on to other projects. I wouldn’t even say that the first unit was finished, it really just sat unfinished – done enough to be functional but not actually 100% finished. Then in July of this year we decided to finally get it done with an August completion goal. Today is September 16th and we are still not done. Let that sink in for a minute…I guess it’s not actually that surprising but I’m at that point where I’m over it and want to work on something else.
Sigh.
Anyway, I did move one step closer when I ordered this rug yesterday!
I ordered it from RugsUSA for 70% off. I’m not sure if it will work or not but it’s supposed to be here tomorrow so we’ll see then! The rug isn’t really necessary for the room to be done but it would be nice to have to break up the wood tones of the dresser and floor.
I need to do one more coat of paint on the baseboards and I haven’t even started on the mirror project. Kyle is working on installing the last 3 drawers and we’re having an electrician come over to hard wire our light fixture (more on this later). Minus the electric, we should be done by the end of this weekend! We haven’t scheduled the electrician to come out yet but hopefully it’ll be no later than next week.
Once the closet is wrapped, we’ll be hitting the ground running on Phase One of the fence! The weather has warmed back up here but hopefully by next weekend we’ll be down in the 70s or low 80s and won’t have to worry about heat exhaustion.
Anyone else ready for fall? I’ve already put out a pumpkin bowl full of candy corn, a 6ft tall scarecrow, and I made pumpkin donuts for breakfast last weekend #sorrynotsorry.
